In recent events, former professional Indy race car driver Zach Claman Demelo has levelled shocking accusations against Detroit Red Wing's Daniel Sprong.

Night Club Incident

Claman Demelo posted his accusations on Instagram, where he detailed the incident that occurred at the club. He said the following:

During Grand Prix weekend I was at a night club with @detroitredwings @nhl player @sprong11. He grabbed my neck and pinned me on a wall, we were separated during that scuffle. After when I had believed the situation was over Daniel came back and sucker punched me in the face while I was defenceless.. The photos in the slide before is the after math of the incident. The dental work needed was brutal and I'm still not finished. I also sustained a concussion that l've been dealing with over the past few weeks.

Not Good for Sprong or NHL

While this is just one side of the story, this doesn't appear to be good for Sprong or the NHL. The incident will surely be clarified by both the Red Wings and the NHL in the coming weeks, however, with the NHL focused on cleaning up its reputation, we might see some discipline come down for these types of actions.

Either way, Sprong is not off to a hot start with his new team in Detroit.
