More details have been revealed following Alex Galchenyuk's arrest.
Galchenyuk made shocking threats towards officers
According to a report from
12News, Galchenyuk is said to have made death threats and racial remarks towards officers at the scene of his arrest.
Galchenyuk was arrested in Scottsdale, AZ for a reported hit-and-run on July 9th, 8 days after he signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Arizona Coyotes. Galchenyuk was placed on unconditional Waivers to terminate his contract July 13rd. The incident was first reported by

According to 12News, Galchenyuk reportedly threatened officers on-site of the scene, threatening to "cut the organs" of an officer's wife and child, and that he would, "end your (the officer's) bloodline".
Galchenyuk also reportedly made racial comments towards an African-American officer, using a slur to describe the officer.
Galchenyuk's father is alleged to have been at the scene according to the article and was reportedly "shocked" at his son's aggressiveness.
The Coyotes terminated Galchenyuk's contract earlier today.
Galchenyuk, 29, went scoreless in 11 Games for Colorado in 2022-23.
