BREAKING: Coyotes Release Official Statement on Alex Galchenyuk

It was announced yesterday that the Arizona Coyotes had started the contract termination process for Alex Galchenyuk. The club had no comment at the time of the announcement, but have now revealed their reasoning.

The Arizona Coyotes released a statement today following the news that they had officially terminated the contract of forward Alex Galchenyuk. The club had this to say regarding the termination.

It was revealed shortly after the news first broke yesterday that Galchenyuk had been arrested on July 9th by Scottsdale Police on a number of charges. Although the Coyotes did not explicitly state that as the reasoning for his termination, that is likely the reason why.

We hope Galchenyuk can recover from whatever he is currently going through, and take the steps to get better.
