In 2021-22, Hoglander posted 27 points in 56 games. He has yet to reach that pace since but he still has plenty of talent to do so. Playing alongside other top end players such as Elias Pettersson could help him unlock his true potential.
He had a lackluster year last year where he scored only 9 points in 25 games in sheltered minutes. However, he was looking strong near the end of the year.
This is a nice low risk/high reward contract by the Canucks which could pay dividends if Hoglander develops into what everybody knows he can be.
