It was revealed a few days ago that Matvei Michkov told Arizona he had no interest in playing for them, but it looks like his list of teams who he wouldn't play for was larger than just one.
Michkov's agent gave a statement recently, and it revealed that the young Russian had the Washington Capitals on his list of "no-go" destinations.

This is incredibly surprising, especially when you consider that Washington was largely believed to be Michkov's number-one preferred destination. What was so bad that Michkov blacklisted them as a team he wouldn't play for?
According to this report, Michkov came into the draft with the goal of leaving a Philadelphia Flyer. He achieved that goal through his responses in his pre-draft interviews, setting himself up to fall to Philly.
While Michkov wanted to be a Flyer, Anaheim almost ruined that dream. According to this same report, Michkov almost went to the Ducks at 2nd overall.
Things could've played out very differently on draft day, and we have a feeling many teams will regret their choices in a few short years.
