The Washington Capitals have extended one of their core players for the foreseeable future.

Capitals Extend Fehervary

The Washington Capitals have just announced that they will be extending core defenseman Martin Fehervary for three years.

This deal will keep him as an RFA as he continues to develop with the Capitals. He is coming off a 16 point year in 67 games.

He will look to have a greater impact next season as the Capitals traded away Dmitry Orlov. In addition to being a core player for the Capitals, he was also one of their youngest players being only 23 years old.
