The Detroit Red Wings have put one of their former top prospects on waivers making him available to any NHL team.

Zadina Goes On Waivers

In 2018, the Detroit Red Wings selected Filip Zadina 6th overall. He was projected to go in the top three but fell to six after teams ahead of the Red Wings prioritized positional needs.

Five years later, Zadina has failed to adjust to the NHL level and is now going on waivers for the first time in his career.

Zadina scored 3 goals and 7 points last year in 30 games. A change of scenery will be necessary if Zadina ever wants to unlock his potential and now 31 teams will have an opportunity get him for free.
