The Norris Winning defenseman has been traded sending shockwaves around the league.
Karlsson Traded
Erik Karlsson has just been traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins per NHL insider Elliotte Friedman.
The Montreal Canadiens will broker as a third team.
TRADE ALERT:
To PIT: Erik Karlsson, Rem Pitlick, Hamaliuk and San Jose's 2026 third-round draft pick.
TO SJ: Pittsburgh's 2024 first-round draft pick, Granlund, Rutta and Hoffman.
TO MTL: acquires Pittsburgh's 2025 second-round draft pick, Jeff Petry, Casey DeSmith, Legare. Karlsson is coming off a 101 point campaign as a defenseman and won the Norris trophy. He will be joining the Pens in an effort to help them win the Stanley Cup.
