BREAKING: Friedman Confirms Alex DeBrincat's Ideal Trade Locations
As a byproduct of the ongoing Ottawa Senators sale process, star forward Alex Debrincat has made it known that he wishes to be traded out of Ottawa. The small sniper was acquired right before last year's NHL Entry Draft and has only played one season with the Senators, which came with mixed results. With the young star entering restricted free agency this summer, and sitting only one year away from unrestricted free agency, Ottawa has some big decisions to make.
Debrincat Submits His Trade List
According to Elliotte Friedman on the 32 Thoughts Podcast, Alex Debrincat has submitted his list of preferred destinations to the Ottawa Senators.
Debrincat submitted a list of teams he would want to be traded to that includes Detroit, Vegas, Florida, Dallas, and Nashville. - Elliotte Friedman
It's important to note that all of these cities are either large market teams or southern U.S cities. It's clear that Debrincat has a preference for his landing spot, and it's not in Canada.
Interestingly enough, this likely puts the Carolina Hurricanes out of the running for Debrincat, although they have been heavily rumored to be interested in the forward. It will be exciting to see where Debrincat lands in the coming weeks.
