Elliotte Friedman Links Corey Perry to an Atlantic Division Rival

Corey Perry is one of the most abrasive and controversial players in the league. This makes him a valuable commodity, however.

Corey Perry is warrior incarnate. He went to three consecutive cup finals, and played through sweat, tears, and lots of blood.

A rumoured option to be the captain of the Montreal Canadiens before signing a two-year deal in Tampa Bay, Perry has been on two teams that share a mutual rival - the Toronto Maple Leafs.

It certainly wouldn't be unheard of for the Peterborough native to retire at home, and with the Leafs looking to add some bite, Perry could be a great option.

Elliotte Friedman agrees.

Perry has already lifted the Stanley Cup once, but it is hard to imagine he doesn't want to give it one more go. The only question is, does he have faith in the Toronto Maple Leafs?
