The NHL Department of Player Safety makes another weak decision, when they announced that Golden Knights defenceman Alex Pietrangelo will be suspended one game for slashing Edmonton Oilers Leon Draisaitl.
Ever since the ruling was handed down, most believe that sentence was weak. Including TSN's Hockey Analyst Craig Button
"The Punishment Didn't Fit The Crime."
Button on the recent episode of Sports Center with Jay Onrait, Button would criticize the NHL saying:
"This should of been a two game suspension at least. He raises his stick of above his head that's intent to injure. Draisaitl didn't get injured, what if he did? that's intent."
Button makes some very interesting points, Leon Draisaitl has been the best player the entire Play-offs, and could of been taken out just because of Pietrangelo's frustration.
