Cal Clutterbuck Gets DEMOLISHED by a Massive Hit From Stepan

The Islanders and Hurricanes are nearing the end of an eventful game three to their quarterfinal match-up. It wouldn't be playoff hockey without a bone crushing hit, of course.

Early in the 3rd period Islanders veteran Cal Clutterbuck was bringing the puck down the wing on a rush, when his whole game would change. He was set off balance by a failed defensive play, and then fell over top of Derek Stepan, who was trying to get back up after sliding to block a pass.

Stepan getting up while Clutterbuck was on top of him sent the latter flying through the air, hard into the boards. Clutterbuck appeared to be okay after the play, but a penalty was assessed to Stepan regardless.

While it looks like the Islanders will take this game, you have to wonder if Clutterbuck will feel the effects of this hit throughout the rest of the series.
