Thursday's action across the National Hockey League brought several fiery moments, but during Boston's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, Bruins forward Trent Frederic one-punched Lane Pederson during a fight.
The fight occurred during the middle frame of Thursday's game and it was clearly in response to Pederson's cross-check to Bruins captain Patrick Bergeron, which happened just a few minutes before he dropped the mitts with Frederic.

Pederson's night came to an end early as he appeared dizzy when getting up and didn't return for the third period. Both players received five-minutes each for fighting on the play.
Was Frederic in the right for standing up for his captain?
