Tony DeAngelo ejected after spearing Corey Perry (video)

Late in the third period of Tuesday's game between Philadelphia and Tampa Bay, Flyers defenceman Tony DeAngelo speared Lightning forward Corey Perry right where the sun doesn't shine.

The incident occurred during a scrum after a whistle in front of Tampa Bay's net. DeAngelo, who wasn't involved at first, skated towards the scrum and jabbed his stick towards Perry's genital area.

After the spear, several Lightning players, including Patrick Maroon, jumped DeAngelo and took him down to the ice.

DeAngelo was issued a five-minute major and a game misconduct for spearing, while no other penalties were issued on the play, which frustrated Flyers head coach John Tortorella.
