Enter Buffalo Sabres columnist Mike Harrington.
When a junior reporter - a kid - was urged to participate in a media scrum with former Sabre Rasmus Ristolainen (by a Sabres staff member), Harrington shooed her away, effectively big-timing a child. Is it even necessary to detail how big of a loser someone must be to pull a stunt like that?
Big-timing anyone like this is lame, but a child with an interest in doing the same job you are lucky enough to do every day? Huge loser energy. Not up for discussion.
We've all seen what @ByMHarrington has said and heard the stories, but this is something that deserves to be brought up.
Harrington's history of acting better than isn't new as you can see in this clip of clearly intimidating a Sabres Jr. Reporter. A KID. pic.twitter.com/pmWWZMSRgH Mike Straw (@MikeStrawMedia) March 6, 2023
The former Sabre was giving an interview after a tough loss.
Either way, for Harrington to shoo a kid looking to get involved - and maybe get to lob a question - displays either extreme insecurity or behavior indicative of providing soap to trick-or-treaters.
Regardless, huge loser energy.
