Curtis Lazar - a 2013 1st round pick of the Ottawa Senators - is headed to New Jersey for a 2024 4th round pick. So what makes Lazar so cool? That one time during Andrew "The Hamburglar" Hammond's miracle run in 2015, Lazar picked up a stray hamburger off the ice and ate it on his way to the locker room.
Just an absolute nail gun.

Lazar provides the Devils with veteran forward depth, and his defensive acumen will be of high demand with this young group. The Devils are known for playing a high-flying game, so having guys through the lineup who specialize on defense could prove critical in the postseason.
The 27-year old also plays both center and wing, and as it stands the Devils only have one right-handed face-off taker; C Michael McLeod. This should provide head coach Lindy Ruff with added utility in certain situations.
