Flames announce defenceman Rasmus Andersson was hit by vehicle on Wednesday evening

The Calgary Flames announced on Thursday that defenceman Rasmus Andersson was struck by a vehicle while riding a scooter on Wednesday evening while on his way to dinner in Detroit.
They went on to add that Andersson was taken to hospital and underwent several tests before being released later in the night. Andersson is currently listed as day-to-day, but is doing okay and will remain with the team.
"At approximately 6:00 p.m. ET, Wednesday, February 8 in Detroit, MI, while riding a scooter on his way to dinner, Flames defenceman Rasmus Andersson was struck by a vehicle. Andersson was taken to local hospital for a full battery of tests before being released last night.
Andersson is doing well, and he will remain with the team. He is listed as day-to-day." The Flames said in a tweet.
The Flames arrived in Detroit yesterday ahead of their game against the Red Wings on Thursday night.
In 51 games this season, Andersson has 34 points (seven goals, 27 assists), 18 penalty minutes and is a plus-six.
