Montreal Canadiens forward Max Domi has begun skating with his teammates, indicating he will indeed play in the upcoming postseason.

Domi, 25, had yet to skate with his teammates as he was given an extra 7-10 day period to decide whether or not he would compete in this years Stanley Cup Playoffs. There is more health risk involved for him because of his Type 1 diabetes. Although it has not yet been confirmed, him skating makes it seem likely he has decided to play. In 71 games with the Habs this season, he posted 17 goals and 44 points, which was good enough for third in team scoring. His 72 points during the 2018-19 season were a career high.

While Domi and the rest of the Canadiens were well outside of a playoff spot prior to the season pausing, the league has since changed to a 24-team playoff format given the unusual circumstances of this year. As a result, Montreal was the final team to make the cut, and will face off against the Pittsburgh Penguins in a 5-game, play-in series set to begin in early August.
