The Anaheim Ducks have signed forward Troy Terry to a three-year contract extension which will go through the 2022-23 season, the team announced Tuesday.

Terry, 22, appeared in 47 games with the Ducks this year, his most games played in a single NHL season to this point. In those 47 games, he posted four goals and 15 points. He also played in 14 AHL games with the San Diego Gulls, where he put up seven goals and 16 points. The deal will pay him a base salary of $1.35 million in year one, $1.45 million in year two, and $1.55 million in year three.

Terry was drafted by the Ducks in the fifth round (148th overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. He is highly regarded in terms of skill, but has yet to put it all together at the NHL level. He is arguably most known for representing Team USA many times, most notably at the 2017 World Juniors and the 2018 Winter Olympics. In seven games at the World Juniors, he scored four goals and seven points, while in five games at the Olympics he put up five assists.
