During Sunday's game against the New York Rangers, Montreal Canadiens forward Joel Armia was hurt on a pretty dirty play by Jacob Trouba, his former teammate with the Winnipeg Jets.
Armia had the puck at his own blue line when Trouba comes in and thrusts his elbow towards the hip and kidney area of the 29-year-old Finn. Armia went to the bench in pain, but remained in the game, while Trouba wasn't penalized on the play.

On Tuesday morning, the Canadiens issued several injury updates, including the announcement that Joel Armia is out indefinitely and was placed on inured reserve.
When meeting with the media after the morning skate, Canadiens head coach Martin St. Louis confirmed that Armia was injured due to Trouba's elbow on Sunday night.

The injury-riddled Canadiens will look to string together back-to-back wins for only the fifth time this season as they welcome the Central Division-leading Winnipeg Jets to the Bell Centre. Puck drop for Tuesday's tilt is set for 7 p.m. ET on TSN2 and RDS.
Should Trouba have received supplemental discipline?
