Team personnel to assist player families while the players are isolated in hub cities
With players soon departing from their families for the next few months to settle in to their temporary homes in Edmonton and Toronto, they can do so knowing that their families will have everything they need during the lengthy absence.
Sportsnet's Chris Johnston reported on Sunday that team personnel will be tasked with grocery and errand delivery as needed for the families of the players who are stationed in either Edmonton or Toronto for the duration of their stay.
This should help with the players' peace of mind, knowing that their families will be looked after during their absence, which should make it easier to place their focus on the task at hand. Competing for Lord Stanley's cup.
It is admirable of teams to offer this type of support to the players and their families during these uncertain times, especially those with young children. For any of you who may have children, you know what a daunting task it can be to prevent them from touching all sorts of surfaces or putting random items in their mouths.
