The National Hockey League is set to name the first 32 players for the 2023 All-Star Game on Thursday night during ESPN's broadcast of the Washington Capitals vs Columbus Blue Jackets tilt.

One player per team will be named by the NHL's hockey operations department, but the fans will have a say in the remaining 12 players who will get to play in the mini-tournament on February 4th.

While fan voting is nothing new, the NHL has decided to incorporate Twitter in the process this year. Hockey fans will be able to vote for their favourite player(s) on Twitter by composing a tweet involving a player's name or handle while using the official NHL All-Star hashtag, as well as retweets, replies, and quote tweets.

Fan voting is expected to go live at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, January 5th.

The 2023 NHL All-Star Weekend will get underway on Friday, February 3rd in Sunrise (Florida) for the Skills Competition. Then as mentioned, the mini 3-on-3 divisional tournament will be played the next day.
