Blues ink goaltending prospect Joel Hofer to multi-year contract extension

The St. Louis Blues announced on Monday that they've signed goaltending prospect Joel Hofer to a two-year contract extension, that begins next season, worth $1.55 million ($750,000 AAV).

Hofer, 22, was St. Louis' fourth round pick (107th overall) in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. He was set to become a restricted free agent at the end of the 2022-23 season.

The Winnipeg native is currently playing for St. Louis' AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds. In 22 games this season, he has a record of 10-8-4 along with a 2.39 GAA, .922 save percentage and one shutout.
