Evgeni Malkin files lawsuit against former business partner

Evgeni Malkin of the Pittsburgh Penguins has become involved in a lawsuit in his home country. A report by Championat.com states Malkin is suing a former business partner, Nikolai Altstein, for 65 million rubles. At today's exchange rate, that's roughly $878,000 USD.

While it doesn't state the nature of their business, the report says a repayment agreement was made following the termination of a business deal. It says Malkin was supposed to get just over half the money in a lump sum payment on March 25th of this year, while the rest would be paid back on April 15th. Malkin claims he's received no payments.

As per the court's ruling, Malkin has been added to a list of creditors to whom Alstein owes money.
