As of Sunday, June 28th, two of the biggest questions for NFL fans during the 2020 offseason have been answered;
What will the New England Patriots do following Tom Brady's signing in Tampa Bay? And where will star quarterback Cam Newton land?
As it were, the two questions have tied themselves together in the form of a blockbuster signing.
In what seems like a clear fit, the Patriots organization have agreed to terms with 2015 NFL MVP quarterback Cam Newton. The one-year deal, will yield the three-time Pro-Bowler up to $7.5 million with incentives.
Newton will be one of three quarterbacks heading into New England's training camp, alongside 2019 fourth-round pick Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer.
Through 125 regular season games, Newton, 31, has amassed 29,041 passing yards, throwing to the back of the end zone 182 times.
In the absence of fourteen-time Pro Bowler Tom Brady, the Patriots will seek to turn the page on an era that brought them six Super Bowls, with Cam Newton at the helm.
