The Vancouver Canucks have a long, long list of objects to sort out as their disastrous 2022-23 season drags on. Due to cap constraints and a dire short-term outlook, they have all-but confirmed that they are trading players like Brock Boeser, Conor Garland, and captain Bo Horvat, among others.
The situation with Horvat is that he needs a new contract at the end of this season, he is on pace for 60 goals this season, and they have literally no money to sign him. If they did, they reportedly wouldn't offer him anything more than the $56 million they gave J.T. Miller just before the '22-23 season kicked off, per Elliotte Friedman.

In all likelihood, Horvat finishes the season somewhere other than Vancouver, although there is reason to suspect that teams will low-ball the Canucks into keeping him for the rest of the season. And who knows?
Maybe they clear some space and realize how important he is to their team and give him a huge sack of cash.
Teams connected to Horvat include the Colorado Avalanche, who have been decimated with injuries, as well as the Detroit Red Wings, New York Islanders, and the Minnesota Wild.
Will Horvat be traded by the trade deadline or remain with the Canucks?
