Philadelphia Flyers forward Oskar Lindblom took the ice with his teammates Tuesday afternoon. It was his first time skating with the team since being diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, in December of 2019.

This is obviously terrific news for the Flyers and even more importantly Lindblom and his family. The 23-year-old completed his cancer treatment on June 2. Before the diagnosis, he was in the midst of a breakout season, with 11 goals and 18 points in 30 games. It is unknown when he will be able to return to gameplay, but Lindblom, the team doctors, and the team themselves felt it was safe for him to skate today.

Speaking of the situation he was going through, Lindblom made it clear that he does not feel sorry for himself and that things could be much worse.

“I can't complain,” Lindblom said. “People have it worse.”

This is an amazing and feel good story in a time where it seems there isn't many lately. We continue to wish Oskar the best and hope to see him back on the ice soon.
