It was unclear if hockey fans would ever see Jaromir Jagr suit up again, but on Sunday, the 50-year-old returned to action for his club, Kladno, in the Czech Extraliga for the first time since April.

As soon as Jagr stepped onto the ice for his first shift, it marked his 35th year playing professional hockey after he made his debut with Kladno back in the 1988-89 season.

Because Jagr is playing again, fans will have to wait until at least 2026 to see him become eligible for the Hockey Hall of Fame. Once a player retires, they have to wait a mandatory three-year period before being eligible for induction.

It didn't take the two-time Stanley Cup champion long to find the scoresheet, as he picked up an assist on a second period goal scored by Matyas Filip.
