New York Rangers' captain Jacob Trouba has had just about enough of his team's mediocre season. In signature Trouba fashion, he landed a huge hit on Chicago Blackhawks' forward Andreas Athanasiou. Hawks captain Jonathan Toews immediately challenged Trouba for the hit.

Following the hit and the fight, Trouba yelled at his own team's bench in an attempt to get them going in a game where they were trailing 3-0 at the time.
The hit itself appears quite violent at full speed. In slow motion, it appears to be a legal hit where Trouba catches Athanasiou shoulder to shoulder, but there was some contact with the head. Additionally, Athanasiou's head hit the ice in whiplash fashion.
Despite the four fighting penalties that ensued, there was no penalty on Trouba for the hit itself.
Was Jacob Trouba's hit on Athanasiou clean or dirty?
