Player Safety Hands Nicolas Aubé-Kubel Multi-Game Ban
The NHL's Department of Player Safety announced that Washington Capitals forward Nicolas Aube-Kubel has been suspended three games for last night's check to the head to Lightning defenseman Cal Foote:
Aube-Kubel received a five-minute major and game misconduct on the play, and a multi-game suspension made perfect sense.
Aubé-Kubel is eligible to return one week from today, when the Caps host the Colorado Avalanche next Saturday. Seems fitting that Aubé-Kubel returns against the team with whom he won the Stanley Cup.
