Thomas Chabot Exits Game After Hard Hit from Travis Konecny

Thomas Chabot left today's matinee against the Philadelphia Flyers after a heavy hit from forward Travis Konecny.

Chabot did turn on the play, as such Konecny received no penalty on the play. Ottawa defeated Philly 4-1 to end a seven game losing streak, but in typical John Tortorella fashion, his team did not make it easy on their opponents.

Senators' defenseman Travis Hamonic also left this game after blocking a shot, so Ottawa's already weak defense can hardly afford further casualties. Perhaps, today will be the catalyst that finally pushes GM Pierre Dorion to pony up for a stud defenseman. One Jakub Chychrun maybe?
