The NHL's Department of Player Safety announced today that Matthew Tkachuk will have a hearing for high-sticking Los Angeles Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick.

The play transpired in the dying minutes of LA's 5-4 win over Florida last night. Tkachuk took a clear swipe at Quick, which could have led to a serious eye injury - including blinding Quick in that eye.
Kind of messed up, won't lie about it.
What's worse is Tkachuk took two different swipes. Different level of 'Scumbag move' on display here. And this is coming from a person who genuinely appreciate's what the Tkachuk brothers do - well, generally anyway.
