The Blackhawks are set to be without their star defenceman Seth Jones for the next little while.
On Sunday, Blackhawks Head Coach Luke Richardson told reporters that Jones will not play in tonight's game against the Minnesota Wild and will be out for the next three-to-four weeks with a thumb injury.
Richardson went on to say that Jones suffered the injury on a shot block in the second period of Chicago's 4-3 overtime loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday.
Jones, 28, is in his second season with the Blackhawks after being traded to them from Columbus in July 2021. In eight games this season, the Arlington (Texas) native has four assists, six penalty minutes and is a minus-five.
