Brendan Lemieux Gets Heated After Roughing Penalty, Calls Out Scheifele for Diving
During the Kings/Jets game the other night, LAK forward Brendan Lemieux was boxing out Winnipeg's Mark Scheifele when he took a roughing penalty. I mean, he did hit the guy in the face, to be fair.
But Scheifele did not require a ton of force to be knocked over, and Lemieux can be seen in the box calling out the Jet for diving. I'll let you be the judge.
Neither of these guys are particularly well-liked around the league, so neither is expected to garner much sympathy. Personally, I think either everyone is right or no one is.
Lemieux definitely earned a penalty on this play, but Scheifele sold it. Bad. Officials could have called it either way.
