Carlo finished this shift, changed, and never returned. The team has not outright said he suffered a concussion, for the record, calling it a mere upper-body injury. But Carlo's documented concussion history is cause enough for concern, let alone those that went undocumented.
His latest concussion, as described by Carlo, sounds intense. Outlining the play, admitted that the hit hindered his vision, which is a huge red flag with regards to head injuries. His words described it as one eye 'going black' for a short period.
Sure sounds to me like Carlo ought to proceed with caution. Which brings me to the point: Carlo returning to action ten days after a blow to the head left him sightless in one eye seems foolhardy and dangerous. I can't speak for the guy, I don't know how he is feeling. But I have suffered multiple concussions during my college glory days. The mildest ones are super manageable, but the worst ones can be absolutely debilitating.
I hope Carlo is fine and fit for action, but it is well within reason to question the timeline, given the documented severity. As it were, Boston hosts the Dallas Stars tonight, and Carlo will likely be out there.
