Minnesota Wild prospect Adam Beckman received a big honour Thursday, as he was voted the WHL Player of the Year.

Beckman, 19, had a massive season for the Spokane Chiefs with a 48-goal, 107-point season. Those totals came despite him playing in just 63 games due to the pandemic, which forced the league to shut down. This season was a massive improvement for Beckman, as he notched 16 more goals and 45 more points than the season prior, despite playing in five less games.

The Saskatoon Saskatchewan native was selected in the third round (75th overall) of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.
