So, for what reason Dylan Larkin felt the need to blatantly dive on contact with Nick Suzuki is lost on me. However, he was rewarded for his convincing performance, and Nick Suzuki was booked for tripping.
I give it about a 3% chance that Larkin was actually tripped.
Detroit would fail to score on the ensuing powerplay, though. Puck don't lie.
Still, the fact that Detroit had all the momentum in this game and Montreal was able to keep is tied, and then something like this goes down is unfortunate. But in the end, the right team won.
