The Blackhawks announced today that forward Boris Katchouk will miss the next 4-6 weeks with a high ankle sprain:
-
Katchouk, 24, was a 2016 second round pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning and was acquired by the Blackhawks in the Branden Hagel trade.
In 59 games, Katchouk has 7 points. Katchouk was also a member of Canada's 2018 World Junior team, which is the subject of an ongoing sexual assault scandal.
This is brutal news for the Blackhawks, who are actively seeking to tank this season and need all the mediocre players they can get. They will have to wait for Katchouk until Thanksgiving or later.
