The Arizona Coyotes have claimed goaltender
Jonas Johansson off waivers, per Elliotte Friedman.
Johansson, 27, signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Avalanche earlier this summer. Apparently the Avs were not overly impressed with the Swede's form during camp, as he was among the team's first wave of cuts.
The statistics are not on Johansson's side. In 32 NHL games, he holds a 9-13-4 record with a 3.42 goals-against average and a .898 save-percentage.

Arizona, meanwhile, continues to feast off the NHL's scraps while they tread water on all fronts. Right now, the Yotes are sporting a tandem of
Karel Vejmelka (52 games played) and Johansson, one would think. Gee, wonder why.
