The St. Louis Blues will kick-off training camp next Thursday and they've added a second player to their roster on a professional tryout contract.

Former University of Michigan commit Andrei Bakanov, who was with the Blues for development camp in the summer, has been added to their training camp roster.

The 20-year-old spent the last two seasons in the KHL after playing for the Guelph Storm in the Ontario Hockey League in 2019-20. After spending the 2020-21 season in the KHL due to the OHL not running, Bakanov and his family decided that he was to stay in Russia for the 2021-22 season and he signed with HK Sochi.

In 24 games last season for HK Sochi, the Moscow native tallied four points (three goals, one assist), six penalty minutes and was a minus-five.
