Per the team's official Twitter account, the Edmonton Oilers have signed Swedish defenceman Theodor Lennstrom to a one-year, entry-level contract.

Lennstrom, 25, has spent the past three seasons in the SHL. This season for Frolunda, he posted three goals and 12 assists in 31 games. The undrafted defenceman has played in 151 career games in the SHL, posting 11 goals and 49 points.

It will be interesting to see exactly where Lennstrom fits in with the Oilers. Lennstrom is a left handed defencemen and the Oilers are already pretty well set up on the left side with Oscar Klefbom, Darnell Nurse, Caleb Jones, Kris Russell, and William Lagesson all under contract for next season. Of course, there is always the possibility that the team may move one or more of the players above before the season begins.
