A handful of Detroit's top prospects have been named to the roster including Simon Edvinsson and Sebastian Cossa. But there is one name that stands out, well, because of his unique name.
Detroit has named undrafted forward Ivan Ivan to their prospect tournament roster.
Ivan Ivan, 20, became a bit of a household name during the World Juniors at Christmas time, before the tournament was cancelled. A TSN graphic showed his name as 'Ivan Ivan Ivan', but it was later discovered that his middle name is not Ivan and his name is only Ivan Ivan.
The Ostrava (Czechia) native spent the 2021-22 season with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. He had a pretty solid season and was a point-per-game. In 65 games, Ivan had 65 points (31 goals, 34 assists), 22 penalty minutes and was a minus-52.
