Former Danbury Trashers' Enforcer 'Nasty Mirasty' Signs Pro Contract for 2022-23
The Federal Prospects Hockey League just a got a little bit scarier, as the Binghamton Black Bears announced today they signed F Jon Mirasty for the 2022-23 season:
Mirasty, 40, last played for the Trois-Rivieres Draveurs of the Ligue Norde Americaine de Hockey in 2018, where he played two games after a three year break from pro hockey. Now, after another four years on the sidelines, Nasty Mirasty is back in the fray.
In 36 games for the Danbury Trashers, Mirasty posted seven points and 259 PIMs, which seems like a lot. But for Mirasty that's nothing.
During his first stint in the LNAH, Mirasty totaled 580 PIMs in 69 games (nice). Mirasty is a straight up enforcer, goon, tough-guy, etc.
His career high in points is 20 points, which all came in the MJHL in 2003. His fighting numbers are insane. In 2000-01, he fought 37 times in the WHL, and in '06-07 he broke that number and appeared in 39 fights in the LNAH.
I would hate to be a prospect looking to advance my NHL career in 2022 and have to lineup against this guy.
