Following the NHL's suspension of the 19-20 season amidst the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, players from both the Ottawa Senators and Colorado Avalanche organizations tested positive for the virus.

While talking with NHL.com's Tracey Myers, Colorado Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar said that all three players on his team who tested positively are doing well and have ‘seemingly recovered.'

Bednar spoke on his players condition to NHL.com;

“All of our guys are doing well. Some of them were even doing well before they had their test results.

As far as I know, they're all doing good and are back with their families and continuing to follow the guidelines given to us.”

He added;

"Those guys were lucky that there wasn't anything too serious with their symptoms and they were able to come through it without any major complications."

Following the season's suspension on March 12th, eight total players have tested positively. Five members of the Ottawa Senators organization, and three members of the Avalanche, not at all to Bednar's surprise.

"(Given) what's going on and the number of people who are testing positive, I'm sure we all know people who have tested positive or read about people that we know who tested positive, so I can't say that surprised me.”

The Avalanche head coach also added that not all players on his roster are being tested.

"Our guys, we're giving them the information, and if they're not feeling well, we relay that information to our medical staff. In turn, they'll get tested and away we go. It's the same as the rest of the country and the world; not everyone is getting tested."

At this time, the names of the eight players who suffered from the virus have been speculated, but no players have officially been named.

The NHL's 19-20 season remains suspended at this time.
