The Carolina Hurricanes and young forward Martin Necas have agreed to a short-term deal that will keep him in Carolina for a bit longer.
The contract is reportedly a two-year, $6 million ($3 million AAV) deal, that will work as a bridge deal. Necas had 40 points (14 goals, 26 assists) in 78 games last season, and has the potential to be an everyday top-six forward.
The Hurricanes are already looking up after making a plethora of offseason moves to bring in Brent Burns, Max Pacioretty, and Dylan Coghlan.
Martin Necas has re-signed with the Carolina Hurricanes to a two-year deal with an AAV of $3M per @sportcz. Necas had better seasons than this last season already, this is a good bridge deal in our eyes. Necas has a potential to be legit TOP6 forward. pic.twitter.com/14g8eri3yZ— Andy & Rono (@ARHockeyStats) August 6, 2022
