Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid has teamed up with his trainer, former NHLer Gary Roberts, to release a series of workout videos in efforts to help kids stay fit amidst the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.

The videos, which will be released via McDavid and Roberts' social media channels, will feature 15-minute workouts, designed to be done at home with no equipment required.

Roberts commented on he and McDavid's efforts to ESPN's Greg Wyshynski;

It's about teaching kids how to do a workout when they just have their bodies.

The idea comes from McDavid's agent, Jeff Jackson, through efforts to help his children find ways to stay active during school closures through the pandemic.

Jackson commented;

I had the idea that Gary and Connor could put together a really simple weekly exercise thing designed for kids. Every mom and dad are going through what we're going through.

Kids are playing video games, or they're driving their parents crazy. So maybe this is a half-hour of a kid's day. Take their iPad, do the exercises.
