Per David Pagnotta, trade talks around Patrick Kane are picking up recently. Not long ago, Patrick Kane indicated that he would take more of a wait & see approach, but it seems that's changed.

As Pagnotta notes, the Dallas Stars are suspected to be involved. Kane, 33, still plays at an elite level & would absolutely help a Stanley Cup contender. So why Dallas would be in play is beyond me. No state tax, I guess.
Whoever lands Kane will likely get a solid deal for him. Chicago has run their team into the ground, and Kane & Jonathan Toews both seem unhappy. The two disgruntled stars make a combined $21 million/season, and it is unlikely that two teams competing for a Stanley Cup would have an extra $10 million lying around.
With Dallas rumored to be interested, some other teams to watch out for are the New York Rangers, the Detroit Red Wings, the Colorado Avalanche, & possibly even the New Jersey Devils. This doesn't mean he definitely moves soon, but if he is it would fit right into an already crazy offseason. Stay tuned.
