The St. Louis Blues have issued a statement confirming their play-by-play announcer previously tested positive for COVID-19. John Kelly, 59, works for FOX Sports Midwest.

The statement reads:

The St. Louis Blues are confirming that play-by-play announcer John Kelly has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.

John has been in self-quarantine since March 13. We are thrilled to report that John is feeling strong and symptom free.

The health and safety of the entire Blues family remains our core focus during these unprecedented times. We wish John well as he continues his recovery at home.

Kelly comes from a rich history of broadcasting. His father, Dan Kelly, was the radio and television voice of the Blues for 21 years and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1989. John's younger brother, Dan Jr., called games on radio for the Blues from 1997-2000. His uncle, Hal, also was a hockey broadcaster, working with several NHL teams when hockey began airing on television.
