Vinnie Viola, owner of the NHL's Florida Panthers, informed his staff of commitment on Friday, that he intends to pay the team's entire staff in full, throughout the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak.

The Panthers, who play at BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida, employ about 230 staff members, all of whom will be included in Viola's commitment.

Matt Caldwell, the Panthers' President and Chief Executive Officer, commented on the organization's decision;

The specific directive from ownership was that no employee of the Florida Panthers will suffer economically from the Coronavirus.

While organizations and companies across the world face mass layoffs and struggle to figure out business plans in the wake of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, including pay cuts across the board, and employee terminations that may or may not include compensation or assistance, Viola and the Panthers organization are going the extra mile to take care of their staff.
