As new information seemingly becomes available each passing day regarding the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak that has brought the NHL season to a standstill, it seems the Columbus Blue Jackets intent on keeping their staff employees and compensated through the ongoing pandemic.

As reported Friday by The Athletic's Aaron Portzline, Columbus Blue Jackets President Mike Priest notified employees Friday, via email, that “no reduction in staff and no roll-back of salaries is expected during indefinite 'pause' to the NHL season.”

Priest also noted that employees are to continue their work from home for “several weeks” as the pandemic continues, and all are urged to remain in their homes, under self quarantine in efforts to contain the virus.

At this time, the NHL season remains suspended effective March 12th, with no time-table in place on a possible return. All games remain postponed until further notice.
